Ms. Snyder in College and Career Center has announced that this year Crockett has TEN Dell Scholarship SemiFinalists!!! This is the highest number of students we have ever had selected as semifinalists in over a decade....and this year the application was due over Thanksgiving Break! For those of you unfamiliar with the Dell Scholars Program, it is a highly selective scholarship (only 12% of applicants get semi-finalist status) for students who have participated in a college readiness program (like AVID or College Forward) during their junior and senior years. Students have to submit multiple essays and demonstrate their grit and resilience for a chance at a $20,000 scholarship, a personal mentor through college, and a Dell laptop and printer! We are super proud of the following students for becoming SemiFinalists. Please congratulate them....and remind them semifinalist documents and essays are due January 29th!
