Crockett Early College High School, located in South Austin, fosters a community of learners and leaders. At Crockett, Cougar pride is felt throughout the campus, fields and classrooms. A dedicated corps of educators helps ensure all students have opportunities to reach their full potential and support students as their most authentic selves while recognizing their individual strengths.
Crockett is a National Demonstration School for the AVID College Readiness System, which helps students prepare for post-secondary success through focused note-taking, learning logs to track progress, and college preparations and visits. Students have multiple opportunities to earn college credit, including 17 Advanced Placement (AP) courses, 4 University of Texas OnRamps Dual Credit courses, and Dual Credit through Austin Community College, conveniently located across the street. Early College High School and P-TECH programs give students the opportunity to earn up an Associate of Arts Degree from Austin Community College or a Level 1 Certificate.
Crockett boasts award-winning fine arts programs including a variety of visual art pathways, theater, band, mariachi, ballet folklorico, orchestra, and choir. The school's career and technology courses offer articulated classes and certifications so that students can graduate ready to work in their field while they pursue a post-secondary education.
