Keyanna Maxwell, a 2015 Crockett graduate, was recently selected for a prestigious Fulbright Fellowship! While majoring in Health & Society at The University of Texas at Austin, Keyanna studied abroad in Beijing for a semester where she developed a passion for Asian culture. While in Beijing, she volunteered teaching English to migrant children. In hopes of continuing that work, Keyanna decided to apply to the Fulbright Program, a highly selective grant program which funds a Cultural Exchange allowing U.S. citizens to research or teach abroad. After an incredibly competitive application process (roughly 2,000 students across the country are offered this opportunity each year), Keyanna was named a Fulbright Scholar! During her year as a Fulbright Scholar, Keyanna is excited to be teaching English in Taiwan. Congratulations to Keyanna on her recent graduation from UT and her Fulbright Fellowship!
