'Potential New South Austin Magnet Program' Meeting, May 24
AISD will hold an information session with a brief presentation and gallery walk. Meeting will be held in the David Crockett High School Library on May 24th from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. Community members will have the opportunity to review program proposals and offer input and guidance.

Four Seniors Receive Mason's Scholarships
Four seniors were awarded special certificates, medallions and each also received a $1,000.00 college scholarship awarded by the Onion Creek Masonic Lodge Thursday, May 5.

Nurse Moffitt Speaks At National Summit
Nurse Cassie Moffitt, RN spoke at the JDRF TypeOne Nation Summit in Irving, Texas last weekend. She is currently a certified diabetes educator (CDE) and uses her knowledge and and experience to educate others in her role as a school nurse for the AISD. Great Job, Nurse Moffitt!
Mrs. Snyder Selected By Tamu As "Very Important Counselor"
Michelle Kailey Snyder, Crockett College and Career counselor was selected by Texas A & M as a "Very Important counselor of 2016" Each year A&M recognizes the top 25 counselors in the state for their dedication to student success and efforts to help students apply to college.
Guitar Students Win Sweepstakes At UIL
The Crockett Varsity and non-varsity guitar groups won Sweepstakes at UIL on April 22. The beginning group received excellent ratings on stage and in the sight reading room. Great Job!
Christina Burbank High School Teacher Of The Year
Theater teacher Christina Burbank has been selected as High school Teacher of the Year by AISD officials. Dr. Paul Cruz came to Crockett to award Ms. Burbank with a plaque and honor her on campus in her classroom. She will compete for AISD district Teacher of the Year.
Barilla Foundation Awards Crockett Theater Department $8000.00
The Barilla Foundation has awarded the Crockett Theater Department a check in the amount of $8000.00 for them to defend their national title in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Author Visits Crockett On April 1!
Award winning author Francisco X. Stork will be visiting Crockett on Friday April 1 during lunch, in the PAC theatre.
Goosecreek ISD Teachers Observe CHS Classrooms
Approximately twenty teachers and administrators from Goosecreek ISD visited CHS on Tuesday, March 22 to observe our progressive school programs such as AVID, Einstein, Entrepreneurship and visit a variety of classrooms.
