Crockett High School Gardens And Aquaponics On PBS's Central Texas Gardener
PBS's Central Texas Gardener is airing a new episode featuring our very own Crockett High School students and teachers. The episode features Crockett's Aquaponics project, Garden Club, and Construction Technology classes. The episode will initially air on September 9, 2016 at 12pm.

Team Building For Student Entrepreneurs
Students who will be enrolled in the Entrepreneur Program spent a morning on campus team building. Students were challenged to discover new methods to solve and create new projects. They also met the teacher team: Mr. Miller, Mrs. Wortham, Mr. Morgan, Mrs. Walker-Leon, Mr. Ehlinger.

AISD Back To School Bash Celebration And Safety Fair
The annual Back to School Bash Celebration and Safety Fair will be held Saturday, August 6 from 9:00 a.m. - noon at the Palmer Events Center on Barton Springs Road.

Summer STAAR Testing Will Be At Bedichek July 11- 14
STAAR testing for students who need to retake one or more of the STAAR tests will be at Bedichek July 11-14 due to no air conditioning at Crockett High. Schedule: Monday, July 11 & Wednesday, July 13: English I or II. Tuesday, July 12 or Thursday July 14: Algebra, Biology and/or US History.
Future Construction Trades Classroom Taking Shape
On the south grounds of the Crockett campus, the new Construction Trades classroom is under construction. This facility is scheduled to be open by August 2016 for fall classes.
Varela Awarded First Robbie Gaston Celebration Of Life Scholarship
Bubba Varela has been awarded the first Robert "Robbie" Gaston Celebration of Life Scholarship by the Gaston family. The family chose Bubba Varela for his demonstration of the qualities of leadership, patriotism, friendship and humor.
School Board Congratulates Art Winners!
Grisela Rivera and Alanis Lee were congratulated for their state art awards by members of the Austin ISD school board on Monday, May 16. Art instructor Jennifer Nowzaradan and Interim Principal Sissy Camacho accompanied the students.
Trustee Awards Presented
171 students were awarded Trustee Awards by School Board members Paul Saldana, District 6 and Yasmine Wagner, District 7 with principal Sissy Camacho. These students were the top 10% of the 1st thru 5th 6 week grading period.
